Hello to you all, dear members,

I'm delighted to present the summer 2025 edition of our newsletter “Le Copechagnière”. It gives me great pleasure to send you my warmest greetings at the start of summer.

I hope this new edition will inform, entertain and inspire you over the coming weeks. Your feedback and encouragement are our greatest motivation, and we do our utmost to offer you quality and varied content.

As you browse through your newsletter, you'll be able to read a text by Sylvain Vachon on Roger Smith, a Coaticook-born pilot who was a teammate of aviator Roméo Vachon, the minutes of last year's AGM, enriched by the report of the 2024 President, and of course all the information concerning the 2025 Gathering and AGM. Please prepare your comments and suggestions for the Board of Directors and register for the 2025 Gathering as soon as possible. Despite inflation, we have maintained the same registration fee for the past three years.
This year's gathering will be a little different, as we'll be in the charming village of Coaticook, home of the delicious ice cream of the same name... " Coaticook, the Pearl of the Eastern Townships, is a pretty town lost in a green setting, surrounded by steep hills and graceful valleys. Its beauty, enhanced by the charming river from which it takes its name, attracts the eye of all passers-by.

Don't wait until summer to tell us about your participation in this event, and even your intention to take part in the administration of your family association. Take the time to read all the information about this gathering and our Annual General Meeting in the centre pages of this newsletter. I hope to see more members than last year at this gathering, which we are organizing especially for you all. We look forward to hearing from you and registering for our AGM on September 6 in Coaticook. If you fancy arriving the day before, you could visit “Foresta Lumina” in Coaticook Gorge Park.

We're holding our annual get-together for you to meet and share, not just for Board members. You are welcome to invite family and friends to attend.

I wish you an enriching read, and thank you sincerely for your loyalty and interest in our newsletter.

Sincerely yours

Maurice Vachon, your President
